The Weekly Atticus
This Week at Atticus Review
A recap of the week's writing at Atticus Review. Intro by Christopher Linforth.
We are just days away from our third issue of the year! We can't wait to reveal the new CNF, fiction, poetry, and mixed media we've accepted. I want to say a special thanks to our retiring CNF Editor, Rachel Laverdiere, who is leaving to work on her book. The new CNF Editors--trained by Rachel--are now accepting CNF submissions and welcome what you have to send them.
We're also open for entries into our flash fiction contest. Check out my interview with judge Sara Lippman for some insight into what she's looking for in a flash.
On the Attic this week, contributor Hannah Grieco talks with Sarah Fawn Montgomery about her new memoir, Halfway from Home, out now from Split/Lip Press. Also Jay Aja reviews Akwaeke Emezi's poetry collection Content Warning: Everything.
Also check out our terrific podcast--Atticus After Dark--for your auditory pleasure.
Remember you can always visit the Atticus Headquarters in Arizona. For holiday season shopping, stop by to pick up a book or record or other gift at Atticus Books & Music.
Until next time, thanks so much for reading.

NEW FROM THE ATTIC
A STRONG FLAVOR COMMANDS ATTENTION
Hannah Grieco talks with Sarah Fawn Montgomery about the foods she loves and her new lyric essay collection HALFWAY FROM HOME, out now from Split/Lip Press.
"Roughly chopped fragments of the places where I’ve found solace when it seems the world is ending. Finely diced memories from a childhood I wished would stretch forever. The brine of a California seashore."
BOOK REVIEW
DEITY EMBODIED
a book review by
JAY AJA
"Emezi understands that the strengths intrinsic to their existence are tools assisting them in the struggle of traversing their life. And that the freedom in these acts of self-resurrection are suggestive of a deity attempting to manifest completely within the limitations of its human form."
