Three Days More

Contest Opens Wednesday

On Wednesday, November 15, we will be open for entries in our 2023 Collaborative Fiction Contest, judged by Christopher Gonzalez! As a reminder, entries can be up to 2,500 words, and each story must be an originally intentional collaboration between two or more authors. You have a lot of freedom in that category, so surprise us!The contest will run until January 15. And guess what! We will have one (1) fee-free day at some point before the contest closes. Be on the lookout for an announcement.Winning entries will be published in Issue Seven in April, 2024. First place comes with a prize of $750, second place with $300, and third place with $150. All other entries will be considered for publication in a future issue.

Fiction Submissions Close Wednesday

For all other fiction, you have until Wednesday to get in single-authored works. Our CNF submissions will remain open until November 30, and we are always open to interviews, book reviews, and other iterations of literary criticism, especially (but not exclusively) for and from indie presses.Issue Six will launch December 15 (I can't believe that's almost a month away), and we will open up for regular submissions in all genres after some New Year's cheer (or, more realistically, rest). In the meantime, I hope you keep writing. The world needs it.Peace,Keene ShortEditor-in-ChiefAtticus Review
