I know August is a weird time for all of us: Summer ends, fall begins, semesters are new and vacations are over and there's something to do with Virgos. It's what you might call a liminal space, if you wanted to sound fancy.

Regardless, the work we have for you in Issue Five leans toward autumn.We have fables, stories, objects, animals, odes. We have artifacts and memories and longing.
